It's the little things that count
Without wanting to sound too clichéd, in services marketing it really is the little things that count.
Did you know that you could get everything so right (your promotional activity, your service, your delivery) but it could all be ruined for one customer by an untidy office foyer or a poorly designed logo.
In this article we delve into the ‘science’ behind why the little things are so crucial to success in the services arena. For a full copy of this paper click here.
First we need to look at the unique characteristics of services:
- Intangibility
- Inseparability
- Heterogeneity
- Perishability
Intangibility relates to the fact that services are performances, deeds or efforts. They cannot be touched or sensed in the same way as physical goods. This then leads to certain problems including a lack of ability to be stored and a constant supply and demand problem. Is your work backed up?
It is a simple question and one that most clients would hate to admit their answer. It may be a yes, but it is likely that the back up was months ago. Did you know that more than 40% of computer users lose irreplaceable files every year? The good news is that a home grown start up company have come to the rescue with their award winning product Memory Box.
Memory Box is online backup that is fully automated, safe and secure. Memory Box sits on your computer and protects your work with no need for bulky hard drives tapes or CDs. Read more about the partnership between Memory Box and Fit 4 Market.
